Creative Estonia invites startups from all over Europe to develop e-services

Creative Estonia in cooperation with the global entrepreneurship competition Creative Business Cup is inviting start-ups from all over Europe to send their best ideas for the new e-services to the Creative Business Solutions eGovernance competition. The finals will be held on Oct 6th, 2017 during the Ministerial e-Government Conference that is held in the framework of Estonian EU Presidency in Tallinn, Estonia.

Our e-image makes us attractive and it is up to us how we are able to take advantage of it in order to transform the interest to investments, jobs, and overall prosperity,“ said Kaja Kallas, a member of European Parliament and a patron to Creative Business Cup Estonia.

„Entrusting Estonia to organize Creative Business Solutions eGovernance is a highly welcomed recognition to our e-image. We are proud of our achievements: 5 days saved each year by signing documents digitally, it takes 3 minutes to file taxes and 3 hours to start a company and 18,000+ e-residents. Start-ups from all over Europe are welcomed to participate if their idea for the e-service is innovative, scalable, could be used in the public sector, involves service design principles, and belongs to the team.

To participate start-ups need to register their ideas and teams before Sept 5th, 2017. The jury chooses 10 finalists to come to Tallinn and present their ideas to eGovernance Solutions on Oct 5-Oct 6. 2017.  The winner will be announced on Oct 6th at the Ministerial e-Government Conference and will pitch the idea on the big stage of Creative Business Cup in November in Copenhagen, Danmark. The traveling costs of the semifinalists and finalists will be covered.

Creative Estonia, a Creative Culture Industries (CCI) info and developing center is an official representative of Creative Business Cup in Estonia.

Creative Business Cup (CBC) is a global entrepreneurship competition held in Denmark and involving best ideas from over 60 countries. The competition's aim is to throw attention to the importance of the creative industries and its role in innovations.

Creative Business Solutions eGovernment competition is organized by Creative Estonia, e-Governance Academy, Norden, Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and supported by Estonian Ministry of Culture and Entreprise Estonia (EAS) and funded from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
